If you are bored with looking to the standard wallpaper, then you can try out Photo Collgaes a nice feature to build a wallpaper from images or your digital photos.

I will discuss two methods for creating the collages, which are easy to accomplish by any user.

Method 1 - Creating Collages Online

A. In this method you have to upload your images to either any of the two popular websites i.r Flickr or PhotoBucket and create a album. Taking example of Flickr, Open the site (www.flickr.com) and login into your account. To open your photostream click the link and copy the address link just right clicking and choosing copy option from the address bar.

B. Now open a new tab in your browser and open the website Collagr (www.collagr.com) in it. Click on the empty box and paste the link copied from the previous step, next click the option "Build It". Collagr opens the images from Flickr library link and arrange them into a single picture. You can set various setting like size, layout or special effect choosing the option at right side and again rebuild. Finally save the image in disk your disk and use as wallpaper.

Method 2 - Creating though Picasa (Offline)

A. Download Picasa from the website ( http://picasa.google.com) and install it to your system. Store the images you want to collage in a folder. Start Picasa and search for the folder where you have stored your images, next click on the collage button displayed at the bottom of the window.

B. It opens a collage windows in Picasa. You can choose your collage setting at right side options. You will find more option rather than online option I have mentioned earlier. Arrange your photos manually or using options "Scramble Collage". Next click on the option "Create Collage" to complete the job. Even Click on "Desktop Background" to directly set it as wallpaper. By default, Picasa stores the collage pictures in the following path(My Documents --> My Pictures --> Picasa -->Collages). So, you can find the file from there also.

With a little effort you can design variety of beautiful collages for your desktop wallpaper.
