Swine Flu effect can range from mild to severe. Though most people have recovered from it there have been many deaths as well. It is also known to aggravate existing medical conditions in some patients causing serious ill-effects and fatality. Since it is already spread all over the world now we have to take very special measures to prevent its spread. Best we can do is to prevent its spread by arming us with better knowledge about it and researching for a vaccine which may be available some time in future. Since viruses are known to mutate and may develop resistance to current treatments available; predicting the exact threat of viruses to humans is always tricky.
